APPLICATIONS

  • All characteristics of ELF MITS 40, including fuel composition, comply with the FIM regulation.
  • Especially blended for 2-stroke engines, according to the stringent limits of the FIM regulation, to give the best answer to the high requirements (typically high octane requirements) of 2-stroke road racing engines. (This fuel results from a tight collaboration with the most famous teams of the World Road Racing Championship - GP).

RECOMMENDATIONS

  • Best results are obtained for CO emission levels from the tail pipe in the range of 4 to 6%. Warning: Carburrettor reading on piston is today more difficult with unleaded fuel - black deposits only. Please be aware that tuning with this fuel may be more difficult than with MITS31 ; but in appropiate cases MITS33 can offer "a plus" in performances. An optimum protection against wear and tightening risks will be obtained by the association of this fuel with our HTX 976 special lubricant (recommended percentage : 3 to 4%
  • This lubricant makes easier the carburrettor reading on piston).
  • In spite of the best attention paid to blend this fuel, the octane limits (RON and MON) required by FIM regulation for unleaded fuels impose to drastically reduce the compression ratio, and to re-tune the ignition setting. These modifications lead to an unavoidable reduction of engines performances compared to leaded gasolines previously allowed by the former regulation.
  • In order to maintain the original properties, and according to Health and Safety regulations of commercial fuels, this gasoline shall be handled and stored in a cool place and always maintained in tightly shut drums.
