This fuel
does not comply with FIM motorbike
regulation.
Blended
especially for 2-stroke engines
running at high rpm and compression
ratios. Convenient for all classes
(125, 250, 500 cm3) and all engine
manufacturers.
The high
octane numbers of ELF MOTO 124 allows
this fuel to satisfy the most severe
requirements of this type of engines
against pinking.
Thanks
to the optimum mappings, this fuel
enables power improvements of 5
to 10 % compared to a classic AVGAS
100 LL at wide open throttle ; very
significant power benefits have
also been reported in transient
conditions.
This fuel
has also successfully been used
for karting, in countries where
leaded fuel is allowed (but take
care to any limitation about lead
content or other properties listed
here above).
RECOMMENDATIONS
Best results
are obtained for CO emission levels
from the tail pipe in the range
of 5 to 6%. An optimum protection
against wear and tightening risks
will be obtained by the association
of this fuel with our HTX 976 special
lubricant for motorbikes (recommended
percentage : 2 to 3%) or HTX 909
specially dedicated to Kart (recommended
percentage varies with the Kart
category : usually 3 to 5 % for
125 & 250cc engines, but 5 to 6%
for 100cc engines having revolution
speed up to 18 000 or 20 000 rpm).
In order
to maintain the original properties,
and according to Health and Safety
regulations of commercial fuels,
this gasoline shall be handled and
stored in a cool place and always
maintained in tightly shut drums.
Apart from
motorcycles and kart, we recommend
the use of ELF MOTO 124 for all
2-stroke engines having high compression
ratios and running at high revolution
speed ranges.
