APPLICATIONS
- This fuel
does not refer to any regulation
(e.g. it does not comply with FIA
regulation).
- Especially
blended for 4-stroke natural aspirated
engines running at high rpm. Thanks
to a selection of the most energetic
hydrocarbons with particularly high
combustion speed, this fuel offers
the best engine performances, which
can be achieved, both in steady
state (max power) and transient
conditions.
RECOMMENDATIONS
- With ELF
PERFO RALLYE, we recommend a max
compression ratio of about 12. Above
this limit, pinking problems may
appear. Therefore compression ratio
must be reduced if necessary: thanks
to fast burning components better
performances can be achieved without
pinking.
- In the same
way, it is generally observed that
optimum ignition setting are reached
by retarding comparatively to conventional
fuels.
- Best results
can be achieved for equivalent air/fuel
ratios in the 1.12 to 1.18 range.
- In order
to maintain the original properties,
and according to Health and Safety
regulations of commercial fuels,
this gasoline shall be handled and
stored in a cool place and always
maintained in tightly shut drums.
- The hydrocarbons
selected to blend this fuel present
a particular sensitivity to knock
when used in 2-stroke engines: Therefore,
be strongly advised against using
this fuel in 2-stroke engines. (except
for 2-stroke Kart 100cc engines
having max rev. speed above 18000
rpm where this fuel can find an
excellent application).
