APPLICATIONS

  • Does not comply with the FIM regulation (but complies to some National Regulations referring to fuels like "AVGAS 100LL").
  • Especially blended for 2-stroke engines generally running at moderate revolution speeds (generally lower than 12 000 rpm), but having high compression ratios (like CROSS engine).
  • ELF SPECIAL CROSS has been specifically blended to match as well as possible the typical operating conditions of CROSS or ENDURO races. Furthermore, its high octane numbers leads to excellent protection against pinking.
  • Compared to a classic AVGAS 100 LL or other similar conventional fuel, power improvements from 5 to 10% have been observed. Even more important benefits have also been reported in transient conditions (pick up and accelerations).

RECOMMENDATIONS

  • Best results are obtained for CO emission levels from the tail pipe in the range of 4 to 6%. An optimum protection against wear and tightening risks will be obtained by the association of this fuel with our HTX 976 special lubricant (recommended percentage : 2 to 3%).
  • Apart from cross engines, we recommend ELF SPECIAL CROSS for all 2-stroke engines which do not require a fuel with very high octane numbers and with a max engine speed relatively limited. Excellent results have been obtained with 2 stroke IN BORD, JET SKI, ...
  • In order to maintain the original properties, and according to Health and Safety regulations of commercial fuels, this gasoline must be handled and stored in a cool place and always maintained in tightly shut drums.
  • Thanks to its high octane potential and its chemical composition, this fuel may be used for 4-stroke engines having high cylinder pressure operations, like "dragsters".
